I am a multidisciplinary artist, exploring complex ideas about culture, memory, family and social history, and their links to contemporary issues. Completing a Bachelor of Contemporary Art (2011) from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia, my practice in part, involves working and teaching a diverse range of ages and abilities.
Strongly inspired by techniques taught by West Australian artist, Nalda Searles, I use natural dyes, indigenous and introduced flora, found, natural and repurposed objects to create hand stitched, coiled baskets and sculptures. A selected Semi-Finalist in the Doug Moran National Portraiture Competition (2013) with 'Peaceful Contemplation', my recent exhibitions are ‘Alitura’ (2013) ‘Leave them in the Ground’ fossil fuels exhibition (2013) and ‘The Fingers and Petals Hand Made Flower Exhibition (2012)
I currently reside in Perth, Western Australia.
